Hi there! Nice to meet you!I'm Kosuke. I'm a student of Kansai Gaidai University in Japan, and I 'm currently studying in Florida as an exchange student.
The purpose of this blog is to convey the current situation of apparel industry, to explore the customer’s value, wants and needs, and also to look at how technology improve the current situation. I had worked at Japanese fast fashion brand before coming to America. Everyday, a lots of cardboard boxes arrived at the shop, and we (sales people) let the goods out of the box and hanged them on the hangers. In January (which is winter in Japan), short-sleeved t-shirts arrived at my shop, then I thought “who wanna buy the short-sleeved in such a cold day”. In addition, the shop (or the company) tends to have a large stock because of the feature of fashion, which is trendy and changeable in short term. This made me have dout about mass production and mass consumption. The self-casher system was also introduced to our brand for the first time in this industry when I worked at the shop. Moreover, E-commerce is, nowadays, a crucial source to increase the sale, so I would like to pay attention to those technological factors too. |
